The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, also Known asIIMC was founded as the first national institution for postgraduate studies and administrative research by the Government of India in November 1961. It was established in partnership with the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and Indian industries.
