IIM Calcutta Overview

The  Indian Institute of Management Calcutta,  also Known asIIMC was founded as the first national institution for postgraduate studies and administrative research by the Government of India in November 1961. It was established in partnership with the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (MIT), the Government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and Indian industries.

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has grown into a well-established and internationally renowned institution, providing quality management education. IIMC Courses  have been working on the curriculum which is helpful in training Indian executives through its postgraduate and doctoral programmes, management training programmes, and research and consultative services. IIMC and TImesPro together have recently launched Executive programmes in Business Analytics and Business Management.

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Eligibility Criteria for 2023

The IIM Kolkata eligibility criteria  for different courses at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is:

• A first-Class Master’s or Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in any discipline and a three-year Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
• A Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 50% marks or Company Secretary or Cost and Management Accountant with a minimum of 55% marks, with a B.Com degree, or B.Tech / 4-year degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.
• Non-engineering applicants who have undergone Class 12 with a master's degree will be considered eligible to apply for the Doctoral Programme.
• In addition to this, the applicant must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in either the secondary or the higher secondary examination of a board (or equivalent).
• A reservation of 60% of seats has been done for applicants belonging to the reserved categories (including EWS)

2. The eligibility for the IIMC PGDBA courses is:

• Applicants should have completed either a graduate or a postgraduate programme from a recognised university.

2. The eligibility for the IIMC PGPEx  courses are as follows:

• The applicant must have either an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree in the field of engineering.
• The candidate should have secured first-division marks in the Class 10 board examinations.
• It is necessary to have a minimum of 4.5 years of work experience at a full-time role upon the completion of the qualifying educational programme.
• A valid GMAT score must be provided.
